The Director General of Flint Town thinks that the new rules of the League offer them opportunities – Final Whistle

The director general of Flint Town, Makhan Rai, thinks that the new changes to the League offer his team new opportunities.

The FAW announced changes to the JD Cymru first before the 2026/27 season.

This is part of the vision stated in April, which plans to bring Welsh football to a higher level.

Mr. Rai says that this change creates a new feeling for the club.

Mr. Rai said: “ For me, the competitive advantage was the largest point, with larger teams dominating the league. The expansion will create this competitive advantage.

The new modifications ensure that the possibility is always at stake in these games. ”

6 million pounds sterling were invested in this project, which takes place until 2029. It is the biggest investment in Welsh football since the training of Cymru leagues in 1992.

The League seeks to create more competition, develop commercial portfolios, strengthen performance in the field and provide a force that will encourage new investors.

The biggest change sees the league go from 12 teams to 16.

Flint was promoted last summer and is currently above the relegation area. Since the plans were announced, Rai wants Flint to be in the league when they take place because of the advantages they offer.

‘Trying to reach this next level is very difficult. These new opportunities through expansion can be very beneficial, so I hope we are a part.

“We can use it to help develop the club and Welsh football in general. ”

Jack Sharp, responsible for domestic leagues, was an engine from new changes while trying to strengthen it.

Dan Davies, creator of the Welsh Football magazine ‘Top Bins” believes that this will open not only new opportunities, but will improve competition in Wales.

He said: “The League needs more competition and opportunities for clubs. There are many good teams that can play.”

However, one of the biggest problems was level 1 license requests.

This allows the second division teams to play in the upper level, however, several were rejected due to poor infrastructure with the stadiums.

Mr. Davies thinks that more must be done to help these teams get their licenses, but he thinks that some clubs could run the risk.

He said, “We need teams to enter the league to start. We have seen many level 1 applications be rejected, so I think we have to work with the teams.

“I think that level 2 teams will spend too much to reach level 1. I think the world will observe, hopefully, when the new league will arrive, and this will open the doors so that level 2 teams take risks financially.”

The Welsh FA has worked nearby level 2 teams to see what solutions can be made before changes are at stake.

The structure of the league was put in evaluation with Twenty First Group Global, who are Sports Intelligence leaders and previously worked with the Premier League.

The new system implemented is like the Czech League Republic. They changed their format in 2018-2019.

These changes were introduced after a discussion with clubs and fans.

Ethan McMullin, coach of Greenfield FC hopes that these changes will help generate higher attendance figures for the Welsh Premier League.

He said: “I think this will mainly benefit Welsh teams from the Premier League and especially the spectators through the Leagues. In doing so, it should make it more interesting.

“I hope it will encourage more people to do games with the product in the promised field.”

It was the first step in the plan that was stated, and now the club is looking for clubs to present their plans for the future.
